Desperate Living? Wow. A John Waters fan, huh? Not many of us around. My favorite is still Polyester. Desperate Living was even a little too gross for me (and that is truly rare).

Ah, Soylent Green -- I just rented it recently. You must be in the mood for it though, as it is not a typical film. It is one of those dated 1970's conspiracy theory/apocalyptic visionary movies (think Logan's Run)-- but it is excellent fun. Charleton Heston is sexy, dangerous, and well, Charlton Heston. If you liked Planet of the Apes (the original) then you will love this too. Since I do and I did, I give Soylent Green a 5 (highest) rating. BTW: See it now before they remake it with Tom Cruise or some other A-lister,(which isn't currently in the works but I'm sure it will be soon).

Oh yeah, I agree with Tom above "Identity" is a must see!!

Soylent Green is also helpful if you are playing six degrees of Kevin Bacon and some smartass says, "Edward G. Robinson."

Debbie, you're terribly brave to post your queue. I never would - why, I would never hear the end of the jeering at some of the stuff on my queue. (Gilligan's Island, Season One, to name an example, but don't tell.)

I had a friend in grad school who always showed her freshman english class Soylent Green. Warping their little minds.

Apparently you need to add some star trek films to your queue, if you aren't familiar with cap'n picard. "Generations" is a personal favorite. Of course, it is much better if you TiVo TNG for a while first.

If you haven't already, add the following movies from the Christopher Guest oeuvre to your queue: Best in Show, Waiting for Guffman, and A Mighty Wind.

Do you like John Prine? Billy Bob Thornton? Get Daddy and Them, a jewel of a little movie. Be sure to watch the cut scenes with BBT's commentary.
